Kebab Van Trading License Application

During the Planning & Infrastructure Committee meeting on 8 March 2021, the application for street trading consent on Green Lane was discussed.

The Parish Council submitted the following comments for consideration by Hart District Council:

‘It was felt that while the Council welcomes and encourages new businesses in the area, the proposed location of the kebab van was unsuitable. The parking restrictions in that section of Green Lane are soon to be altered to allow more restricted parking. In addition, it was felt that to be positioned in front of the war memorial and the church was not an appropriate location. Therefore, the Committee asked that the current application should be refused, and the applicant be asked to reconsider the location of the van to a more suitable area of the village.’

Since the Council posting their comments, the application for the trading consent of the kebab van has been withdrawn.
