An update from the Hartley Wintney Twinning Association
A group of us have decided to re-launch the Twinning Association with less emphasis on fund raising activities and more on enabling and promoting cultural, sporting, youth and friendship links between Hartley Wintney and our twinning partners in Saint Savin and Malle. We are inviting you to come to our AGM where we will form a committee and elect officers. We have enough to form a committee already but there is space for anyone else who would like to put their name forward. If you want to nominate someone please make sure you have their permission!
The AGM will be held on Thursday November 18th in the Lady Kaye Meeting Room, The Victoria Hall from 7.30 to 8.30pm. So it will not be more than an hour of your time. We will also book a Zoom session for anyone to join us if they aren’t happy about going out to meetings. This will not be run with the highest level of technology, just a laptop, speaker view so you can follow what’s going on with the ability for you to vote should you want to.
All current COVID precautions will be taken, whatever they may be by that time. So that we don’t have more people turning up than we can accommodate, please let me know whether you intend to come, whether you would like to be sent the Zoom link or whether you would like to register your interest by sending your apologies. Please do so by emailing Gerda on firstname.lastname@example.org
We also need to know whether we have enough people to achieve a quorum. Remember that anyone living or working in Hartley Wintney, Winchfield, Rotherwick, Mattingley or Heckfield can attend the meeting and vote.
If you have any queries or would like to know more please do not hesitate to email me.
Many thanks – Gerda Bennett
