South East Water - Road closures
South East Water and Hart District Council have advised of further planned road closures. The closures are necessary on safety grounds to allow for works by South East Water as part of their Water Main Installation Project between Fleet & Odiham, Hampshire.
Update from South East Water as of 16/03/22:
In our last update, we stated we hoped to lift the road closure in Fleet Road by Friday 18 March. While this was our intention at the time, our workforce has faced minor delays with their progress on site. This is due to a number of factors, including ground conditions within Fleet Road.
It is anticipated the road closure in Fleet Road will now be lifted on Wednesday 23 March – still two days ahead of our original project plan.
Once the closure is removed, temporary traffic lights will be installed at the roundabout of Fleet Road and Elvetham Heath Way so we can safely begin the next phase of the project. Meanwhile, we are continuing to make good progress in Bagwell Lane but bad weather has slightly delayed our team.
PALE LANE – From Monday 14th March 2022
A section of Pale Lane, Winchfield will be closed for emergency works by South East Water from today 14th March for approximately 5 days. This road WILL be reopened on the afternoon of the 18th March 2022.
ELVETHAM LANE – From 21st March 2022
It is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along that length of Elvetham Lane outside the property known as Arlot’s Farm, as indicated by traffic signs. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
