A new playground in Jubilee Field - Get involved!
You may recall a community survey back in 2020 regarding a new playground on the Jubilee Fields. The existing playground was installed over 20 years ago. It is expensive to maintain and is now nearing the end of its shelf life. There was an overwhelming support within the community for a new playground. As such, a site has now been selected on the eastern side of Jubilee Fields and initial plans have been drawn up by professional playground planners.
Our vision is for the playground to be a lovely place for families in the village to meet. It will look inviting and fun for children of all ages and be of the best quality to ensure longevity without requiring ongoing maintenance.
At present, no final agreement has been reached with a playground manufacturer, as more funds need to be secured. The budget estimate is £80,000 of which the Parish Council has 25% allocated funds set aside for this project. Funding is currently being sought for the remaining £60,000.
This is where you can get involved! You can donate any amount via this link. Any amount, big or small can make a big difference!
We are aiming to incorporate a ‘Donor’s board’ into the design of the playground whereby anyone who has donated £10 or more will be named.
