Councillor Richard Dodds has lived in Hartley Wintney since 1988 and is part of both the Full Council and Policy Committee, after joining the HWPC on 1 March 2021. Cllr Dodds holds a Diploma in Healthcare, LLB (Hons) and a health orientated LLM and has an extensive career in healthcare working for both the NHS and Independent Sectors, including the Department of Health, NHS England and with the Clinical Commissioning Groups across England.
For Cllr Dodds, Hartley Wintney is a vibrant community centred around the parishioners living, working, and enjoying the local communities that make up the local Parish. This is delivered through common goals and working together to successfully support one another.
For future generations to come, Cllr Dodds believes the Parish will provide integrated communities for all ages focused on the Village centre. Local opportunities for online businesses and active retail outlets in keeping with village life alongside leisure services catering for the young adult which will work in harmony with the activities sought by the older generations and the very young families.
In Cllr Dodd’s leisure time, he enjoys a wide range of interests which centre around making the most of walks around the Village and utilising the local services.
