Notice of footpath improvement works on Dilly Lane
As part of the programme of works being undertaken by Operation Resilience, Hampshire Highways will shortly be undertaking footway improvement works on Dilly Lane, Hartley Wintney, between A30 London Road and Mitchell Avenue.
The works are programmed to start on Monday 22 November 2021 and are expected to last for approximately 3 weeks, during which time sections of the footway will be closed.
As the road at this location has only one footway, a temporary footway will be constructed in the road. For the safety of pedestrians and the workforce, the road will be closed to through traffic during working hours, which will be 09.30 – 16.00hrs each day.
Traffic management operatives will be on hand to assist with vehicular access to homes/businesses within the closure. Vehicular access will only be available from the Mitchell Avenue end of the closure as the A30 end will be closed throughout the working day. Hampshire Highways have advised that whilst every effort is made to adhere to the published programme dates there may be times when they have to postpone works at very short notice, e.g. because of poor forecasted weather. They will always endeavour to provide you with up to date information, but sometimes these last minute decisions can be difficult to relay to residents and road users in a timely manner. The dates will be updated on the yellow sign boards located at each end of the site so the travelling public and local residents are aware. Information signs advising footpath users of the works will be erected before the start of works.
