HW Voluntary Care Group

Serving the community since 1977, the Group take those, without transport of their own, to their essential medical appointments; provide a befriending service with typically weekly visits for a cup of tea and a chat; and also help out with odd jobs around the house for those with limited mobility. All these services are provided by volunteers who are DBS Checked.

In addition the Group run the Forget-Me-Not Café at St John’s Church on Tuesdays and Singing for the Mind at the Football Club on Thursdays. These activities are for those living with dementia, their family, carers and friends.
