EVENT NOW POSTPONED - Community Awards & Village Picnic

In light of the incredibly sad news of the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, we have taken the decision to postpone this weekend’s Village Picnic and Community Awards Ceremony.

As a local authority, we have a strict set of protocol which we are required to consider and follow in the event of our Sovereign’s death. Sadly, this does include any civic and celebratory events such as the Community Awards.

The Nation has now entered into period of Mourning and our focus during this time is to support the community and offer opportunities for the public to express their grief, sadness and offer respects to the long standing service of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.

Consideration will be given as to when we can come together as a community to celebrate her life, and we will be issuing further updates in due course.

Those residents who have paid for tickets (inflatables) will be contacted directly by our Team via the contact details provided at the time of booking.

Please check on our website for further updates (see link), as our Parish Staff are working hard to put into place all the necessary protocols as required, and our phone lines may be very busy at this time.
