Community Picnic and Awards Ceremony

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Community Picnic on:

SATURDAY 18th SEPTEMBER 2021 from 3PM to 8.30PM at

The picnic will be a free event with plenty of entertainment for all the family to enjoy. The event will also host the Annual Community Awards Ceremony, where we will award individuals, groups and businesses who have positively contributed to the Hartley Wintney community over the last year.

We encourage families to either bring their own picnic and refreshments, or enjoy the various food stalls and bar that will be at the event.

In order to remain covid-safe and control the amount of people in the event space, we do require free tickets to be pre-purchased

Attractions will include:

  • Food vendors and stalls
  • Bar
  • Ice-Cream Van
  • Live Music
  • Inflatables (£2 per child for unlimited use- pre booking required)
  • Face painting (£1.50 per child for face painting or glitter tattoos- pre booking required, limited availability)
  • Kids games
  • The Annual Community Awards presentation
  • Meet your local sports clubs

The picnic will also be a fantastic opportunity to find out more about The Lucy Pygott Centre, with tours of the pavilion taking place throughout the afternoon.

The inflatables and food stalls will close at 7.30pm, however there will still be time to enjoy the live music until the event closes at 8.30pm.

There will be no on-site parking at the Lucy Pygott Centre, so we request that you either walk to the Picnic or make use of the FREE park and ride service from Monachus Lane Car Park.  The car park will be free to use all day, with free community bus trips running throughout the afternoon.

Alternative parking can be found at the Dilly Lane allotments or the Victoria Hall.
