CHRISTMAS MARKET 2023 STALLHOLDER APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
As a mark of respect, the bell at St John’s Church in the Village will toll between 11am and 12am tomorrow following the sad passing of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
St John’s Church will be open tomorrow, Saturday 10th April between 10am and 4pm and on Sunday 11th April between 12pm and 4pm for those who wish to come and pray. All Saints, Dogmersfield will also be open over the weekend for private prayer.
During the 9 o’clock Sunday service in church, there will be prayers of thanksgiving for the Duke’s life and for the Queen and their family. All are warmly invited to attend and booking is not necessary thanks to overflow facilities.
Going forwards, there will be access to the church during the week from 10am to 1pm Monday to Thursday by ringing the office doorbell.
The Church of England has opened an online condolence book following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh. The online book is open for any individual or community who wish to sign and record a message and can be accessed via the link below.
